New York – February, 6, 2012 - Tiësto is proud to announce the worldwide release of his Tiësto App for iPhone and iPod touch, available now on the App Store. To celebrate the new app, Tiësto is also re-launching his Tiesto.com and InTheBooth.com websites.

Developed by Penté Group alongside Tiësto, the Tiësto App allows users to stream Tiësto’s music as well as his weekly Club Life podcast using a custom Tiësto music player. The app also allows users to connect with fans worldwide, access concert footage, photos and tickets, and unlock full VIP access to Tiësto’s InTheBooth.com website.

InTheBooth.com is relaunching with new and constantly updated footage, photos and music not available anywhere else, making it the ultimate Tiësto VIP experience. The Tiësto’s App has been designed for seamless integration with both Tiesto.com and

InTheBooth.com.

The flamboyant mavericks love Australia. They’ve been here on successive visits, the last a promo tour. How do we rate with other global party rockers? “Oh, you guys are right there at No. 1,” Redfoo (born Stefan Gordy) assures. ”You guys are party animals. You guys embrace the animal print – I’ve seen so much animal print out here… You guys love the iPhone – probably more than the Americans – and I’m an iPhone guy, so then that just gets you a 10 in that category. The ladies are amazing – so beautiful… So we love the Australians!”

LMFAO are Hollywood (well, Pacific Palisades) kids, but they come from a music, not movie, background. Redfoo is the son of Berry Gordy, Jr, the man behind Detroit’s Motown empire – and soul legends like The Supremes, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and The Jackson 5. SkyBlu (Skyler Gordy) is Redfoo’s nephew – and Mr Gordy’s grandson. LMFAO’s entrepreneurial flair is evident in their awesome Party Rock Clothing brand – with lots of animal print.

The rappers (and DJs) credit the late DJ AM (Adam Goldstein) with introducing them to dance music. “He hired me to do a beat for a commercial,” recalls Redfoo, a former day trader who’s today LMFAO’s primary producer (SkyBlu is the main MC). “I was gonna do some ghost production for him.” Redfoo asked AM for some reference points. The DJ gave him a CD with tracks by Justice, LCD Soundsystem and Does It Offend You, Yeah? ”I was blown away!” Redfoo also admired AM for DJing across such a spectrum of music.

LMFAO developed their sound before electro-hop was mainstream. “We saw it very early,” Redfoo says. Their music was “designed to rock a party.” Above all, in moving beyond the ‘boom-bap’, LMFAO revelled in a creative freedom not always found in hip hop culture. ”We could do anything – we could sing, we could rap… We happened to do more rapping. So we just rapped over these beats and told our stories and wrote our songs the way we did it – but it was over a new tempo, around 128 BPM.”

LMFAO (it stands for Laughing My F**king Ass Off) signed to will.i.am’s eponymous label. Redfoo knew will.i.am from his school days and even helped him out with his music pre-Peas. But, first, LMFAO released the lowkey Party Rock EP, home to I’m In Miami Bitch, via iTunes in 2008. The following year they dropped their full-length debut, Party Rock, crunkateer Lil Jon popping up on the drinking song Shots. Get Crazy was chosen to be the Jersey Shore theme, Snooki the ultimate animal print girl. Eventually Party Rock was nominated for a Grammy in the ‘Best Electronic/Dance Album’ category.

This year LMFAO returned with the tongue-in-cheek Sorry For Party Rocking. They’ve exploded in Australia with Party Rock Anthem (featuring new Pussycat Doll Lauren Bennett!), then Champagne Showers and Sexy And I Know It. And LMFAO have collaborated with, not only will.i.am, but also fiery rapper Busta Rhymes and Brit producer Calvin Harris. Needless to say, Sorry For Party Rocking is now platinum.

Together with their allies will.i.am and David Guetta, LMFAO have changed the atmosphere in hip hop clubs globally – while smashing down the divide between hip hop and dance at festivals. “It’s beautiful to us because all the clubs we walk in, it’s this uptempo dance thing. To me it makes the club experience way more energetic, way more ‘party’, [and] way more social.”

Don’t imagine LMFAO are going anywhere after Stereosonic. Redfoo is already thinking ahead to their third album for 2012. “We’re starting to put ideas together…”
